Kansei research has evolved greatly during the last decade, showing more and more common interests with various research fields, winning more and more the interest and the support from many national institutions and companies around the world, becoming to become one of the main values for the future development of industries and societies. However, Kansei research is currently at a key moment of its development. While Kansei research is expected to assist greatly to the progress of societies, the advancement of its structure, of its methods, and of its tools are struggling with its interdisciplinary context and with the challenge of keeping a highly rigorous reflection in direct relation with the concrete world. Therefore, all the themes proposed for the KEER2010 have the common objective to gather the state-of-the-art in the research field of Kansei, with vision for the future societies and rigor for a high quality in knowledge sharing.

Moreover, KEER moves for the first time in Europe, with the strong desire to push forward the exchanges between East and West on the topics related to Kansei and Kansei research. Therefore, comparative or local observation studies related to Kansei, Kansei research, and Kansei practice will greatly fit to KEER2010. The aim of these presentations is for researchers of different countries, of different cultures to share and to learn from the on-going in other places, to know each other better, to share more with each other.
