Call for Papers

Arts et Métiers ParisTech and the Japan Society of Kansei Engineering (JSKE) have the great pleasure to invite you to the International Conference on Kansei Engineering and Emotion Research 2010, in the heart of the beautiful city of Paris, on March 2-4th. This conference will gather researchers, practitioners and industrials to explore and to expose the current state of eastern and western Kansei research and Kansei practice in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural context. It will contribute to the progress of Kansei knowledge and to the development of the Kansei community in the world.

CROSSING PLACES | CROSSING EXPERIENCES | CROSSING MINDS
In 2010, KEER moves for the first time in Europe, with the strong desire to push forward the exchanges between East and West on the topics related to Kansei. Therefore, KEER2010 is not only a cross-disciplinary event, but also a concrete cross-culture one. Researchers and Practitioners from universities and industries with different cultures and different visions will expose their points of view and share their knowledge in a warm, rich and open-minded context. Many disciplines, from Design Studies to Computer Science through Brain Science, Business and Fashion, or Social Sciences will be involved in order to build a common base of Kansei. Enriching Kansei studies, enriching experience, enriching minds by sharing and constructing together the Kansei related fields and knowledge are the ultimate objectives of KEER2010.

For this edition, KEER will be composed of plenary and parallel sessions, based on the various themes addressed by the presenters, and related to the conference themes. Keynote speakers will be invited from many disciplines related with Kansei studies in order to bring an innovative and relevant view on the field of Kansei studies. Posters will complete the academic works present at the conference. Besides, cultural events will be organized to enlarge artistically the expression of Kansei.

Please consider your research interests and your participation to KEER2010.
We will be glad to welcome you in Paris, and to create a constructive, enjoyable and memorable event.
